A friend of mine wrote about the pain and irritation of cauliflower ear. It happens to wrestlers and rollers that practice Jujitsu or similar arts. He mentioned it in a status update on Facebook. He said something like: a diamond tipped needle wouldn't penetrate his ear. I loved the phrase, so I stole it, but I must give credit to my friend: Jake Johnston. When I commented about it he replied with one of the best ideas I've ever heard. He said it would be a good name for a Stone Temple Pilots cover-band.
I don't think I'll ever have a band, but I do like having a way to post writing. Diamond Tipped Needle has been a scarcely used creative outlet since it began as a place to post English assignments a few years ago. I doubt I will ever post often, but I do check in occasionally.
